Peacock chams are very rarely captive bred, and it's not even easy to find them wild-caught. They are also a very difficult species of chameleon to keep in captivity from what I've heard. WC peacocks tend to not adjust to captivity very well and they're prone to unexpectedly dying. If you're new to the world of chams, it might be better to start with a more hardy species like veileds or panthers.

Oh is that so ... that's definitely a disappointment to hear :[ I was wondering if there is a breed of cham that stay fairly small (6-8in) not like a veiled or a panther?

Carpets stay small as well.

Keep in mind that for whatever reason, it can be difficult to find species like carpets and senegals that are captive bred. It's not impossible though. Generally, captive bred chams are the best choice for beginners.

on Flchams.com they have a clutch of baby veiled chams that are unrelated ... how big do these veiled chams get? and do you know what color they will turn out to be?

go look at my thread i posted. it also has my male veiled in it. and my female veiled. :)

Ooh that sucks, I was thinking about looking into them for my mom, she says they're adorable and I would need to find one that isn't too small since she says the too small ones are bugs, not lizards haha.
