What do we do?

If we want a stud veiled chameleon for one of our girls? She isn't old enough to breed yet but she's a gorgeous girl with a lovely sized veil and very colorful. Do people stud out their males? And if so, how do we find a nearby male? should loretta get on cham tinder and swipe right??? Lol. just curious. Probably won't and up doing this, but it would be amazing to have baby veiled chameleons some day ♡♡

Ah. Hadnt thought about all the babies that need homes already.. Poor things. We just thought it sucks for them to have to lay eggs and not even see sweet baby cham faces. We won't breed them. Just like making sure our adopted kitties got fixed as soon as they could be :)

It would be cool to have babies if you could just get one or two but a single mating could produce 90 babies. That's a lot of homes to find. Most people get over run spending hundreds on feeders a month and end up selling to distributors who sell them to pet stores.

I dont think i would risk surgey on such a tiny creature. I remeber reading somwhere that spaying a rabbit is risky. Somthing like 50% survival rate. I can only imagine a tiny chameleon

The only reason my chameleons were spayed is because they were egg bound and while my vet was removing the eggs, he spayed them at the same time.

I personally wish I had never let mine breed- I love the babies, but now can’t find homes for any of them -and they are all too big to be in the same cage- it’s also ridiculous how much growing Veiled chams eat!
