What do you guys think?

Here cage is 16×16×30, lighting is reptib 5.0 uvb 13 w compact fluorcent bulb and a 60 w daylight blue. Her basking spot is 87-89°f lowest temp at bottom is 69-70°f inside cage. On the plant in the pictures temp in direct light is 84 and in 70s everywhere else. She will only be on the plant an hour or so a day. Do you guys think I should add more lighting? Any other suggestions? She seems to enjoy going both to and from cage to plant I sometimes help her along the way or just open her cage and let her make her own way there. Sorry for such a long post I want to do my best for her any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have another set of the same lighting but when I put it on her cage it was in the high 90's and she stayed in the middle or lower part of the cage so I removed it. Was this a good idea?

Thanks,
Dave

Sorry if I put this in the wrong place it was a question about her enclosure so I figured it should go here.

The temps sound right except for the high 90's in her cage. I would either raise the lights or just get a smaller wattage bulb for on her cage to bring that down a bit, but you definitely don't want to remove the UVB and basking light just get the right temps. Make sure you keep an eye on the humidity as well.

A couple of things. I would definitely add some more foilage to your cage. She needs places to hide and feel secure. Also, from the pic, it looks as if the basking light is close to her body. Be aware that they can burn themselves and do not have to touch the bulb or hot screen to do so. Her casque and spikes on her back are especially vulnerable to burn. I have seen too many cases to count over the years of burned chameleons. When they are basking to warm up, they do not realize that if they stay under too long they are burning themselves. And just be mindful that as she grows, she will get even closer to the light, so you have to make adjustments.

This looks alot like the setup I bought. Is it the repti-breeze cage? I found it to be a great starter setup other then the blue bulb. I switched mine out for a 60 watt basking light and kept the UVB that came with it. I read somewhere the colored bulbs are not that great for Chams. As Carol5208 stated I would add some foliage, perhaps a live plant like a ficus or hibiscus. This would also help with humidity.

Yes it is the reptibreeze chameleon kit. The live plant she free ranges on is a hibiscus I am getting some more live plants I live in a small town and options are limited I may have to go online., but I have the hibiscus inside and grape vine out side for sunny days. I'm a carpenter by trade and am working on an outdoor enclosure, I will post pics when it gets warm enough here to use it. I will postpics of my iguana cage i built if anyoneis interested, it is 3'×4'×3 and only cost me 35$ (sorry off subject). Also am looking into making an indoor space for when she gets bigger. Thanks for the suggestions! As for the lights I have thought that she seems to close but she moves around alot I assumed she would move if she got to hot so that's good to know. Should I lower basking spot or raise lights, if I raise the lights should I add more since they will be farther away? Thanks again guys.

If you raise the lights then just test it out first and see what the temps are and go from there, every set up is slightly different.
