What do you think of this guy?

Well I talked to the seller, she was sold a female instead of a male. Guess I'll have to pass on her, her laying eggs would stress me out :(
I told her I may have to pass and she suddenly told she really has to be a he as he's never laid eggs. I'm taking everyones advice on here, everyones more experienced. At what point do females start laying their first clutches?
I think its 9 months, but I am prolly wrong.

Well if the chams owner doesn't even kno its a female and is convinced its a male, then why would she put a laying bin in there. So that's probably the reason the cham hasn't laid eggs. You should let that lady kno that if she doesn't start caring for that cham as a female then there is a good chance she(or the next owner/buyer) will lose her from being egg-bound(<-i think its the right word). Or you could give us all her email and she can get all of our 2cents.

Once I realized she's a female, I told her that and she told me that she thought the same thing but the breeder told her male. So she thought he was a she all along. Then once I said I wasn't going to take her she told me that she can't be a female because of all her colors and that she hasn't laid eggs  Well she won't if she doesn't have a laying bin and I'm not sure what color she's talking about?! I'm wondering if any oregon cham people would take her, she won't end up too well especially with her owner selling her as a he.

Yes, you should really inform her of the dangers to the cham of not providing a proper laying bin, and explain to her that the reason she hasn't laid eggs yet is because she is young and that she is old enough to now, doesn't need a male to produce them. Andt hat if she doesn't put one in she could die. And to please tell the buyer this info. I for one would send her an email if provided her email address.

Let's not and say we did. Perhaps a kindly worded email explaining the differences of care between males and females or a referral to this site from the OP would be fine but I certainly wouldn't want my inbox filled up with a tons of indignant emails from a bunch of chameleon keepers I didn't know.

I actually decided on a smaller type cham. I have no interest in breeding anyways and have always liked males better whether they're dogs or cats or chameleons. My fish is even male! I like boys :D

Michelle, you should do a little research on carpet chameleons, great colors and there much smaller than panthers.
