What does this mean?

So I am a little curious, so tonight while I was holding my veiled cham I had my green Oakley glove on my hand and when I would put my finger upright she would open her mouth and sort of either sway back and forth, then sometimes "hump" my finger she is sitting on. During this time she does not hiss or even try to bite me when I bring my finger closer to her, or even change color she stays bright light green. When I take my glove off and do the same thing she does not do anything.....so my thought she saw a green glove could she be starting to be sexually active or something? But the thing is I think she is about either 4-5 months.

Females can be sexually mature as young as 6 months. I would recommend having a laying bin available for her. (not saying she is going to lay any time soon)

As far as her behavior, they generally don't act aggressive or change colors when they are receptive. She either thought your glove on your hand was another female invading her space or a potential male trying to mount her.

That is just my guess. The first time my male was introduced to our girl, she acted as if he wasn't there. (and of course they did their business)

All other times she had seen him thereafter she would flatten out, hiss, gape her mouth open, and/or display very dark colors with bright green/turquoise spots.

Ok thank you Chiichan, What would you recommend for substrate for a laying bin? Ya I thought that at first but I was not sure when they can start to become sexually active....one thing I have noticed she is starting to climb down the tree I have in there and just stares at the ground then goes right back up, and I have seen her on the bottom but only for a few seconds.

I don't think she thought it was a male. Maybe there's a 20% chance.

But most likely she was mad. They open their mouths and sway back and forth when they want to scare off/make something go away.

It could be either but it's more likely that she is just angry at the glove.

I HIGHLY doubt she is sexually mature at 5 months old!

While a laying bin is nice to have around, you shouldn't have to worry about one for a while until she is around full size.

Lol that's what I thought but it was funny just how she would only do that when I put one finger up while wearing the glove, I will post some pics I took up tomorrow whish I would have video recorded it.

Ok I will get right on getting a laying bin in there thank you!

One finger is likely to be mistaken for another lizard or small snake, large insect. Some of my guyz will puff up and get all defensive when they see a roach thats too big to eat.
And they will flick their tongues at my finger, probably thinking it's a worm
Best to just flatten out your whole hand with fingers together to reduce
any stress, better still, dont use those gloves ;)
