What insect is this? Is it dangerous?

I think it is some sort of assassin bug but I'm not sure because I can't find any sort of species list of Texas insects that shows it as being a local assassin bug... I'm in no way going to feed it off but I want to know if it can hurt me lol... Any opinions would be appreciated

it looks like a stink bug with large legs

See I thought that too but it arches like an assassin and it DEFINITELY has a tubular needle stinger under it's head... I just think it odd that an assassin like this be in MY area... Definitely going back to this area tonight to catch some moths though!

I think you should keep that thing away from your cham, it could be dangerous, but moths are perfect!:D

Update for those who may ever come across one of these... After MUCH research and watching it for days trying different foods, I have concluded this is an assassin bug for sure, but even more dangerous than the average because it belongs to a family of assassins known as "Kissing bugs"... They live off of the blood of animals and humans... So if you do come across one of these guys do NOT catch it... Just thought I would update and warn :)
