What is the best way to make a drainage system?

I'm seeing that I will need to put a drainage system in Joyce's cage, as even with the cham safe absorbant eco-bedding in the bottom and the big schefflera tree to absorb water from the drip system and hand misting, her cage bottom does not dry out overnight. She should only be in the converted ferret cage for a few more days (YAY!!!!!) as I have ordered one of the aluminum and screen cages from LLL. Next I plan to order a misting system as well. What has worked best for you guys as far as a decent drainage system, and how do I make it? (pictures would be great!) I'm assuming there is a little more to it than just drilling a hole in the bottom of the cage and sticking a pan under it.

Okay, think I have browsed through all the info, and I am thinking with my cage size and space that the laundry sink method may be the best for me. Ace Hardware has the right size tub for around $25, just wondering if anybody has recommendations as to the best sealant (metal and screen cage attaching to plastic tub) to use? I suppose the people at Ace may know, but those guys seem to get a little freaked out when you start explaining why you need it and who will live in the final construction.

Of course, that can be entertaining......like the time I told the car salesman NO, I don't want the more expensive RAV4 with the leather interior because then my iguana will slide off the seat! A speechless used car salesman is a thing of beauty. lol

I bought a cement mixing container from Lowe's. Its 24X34" its perfect. I placed the tub wood planks for support and use a wet vac to suck the water up that goes into the tub.
