What is the coolest thing your chameleon has done? Ill start, hanging by only her tail to be able to reach a cricket, and jumping off my hand and onto a vine on her cage and caught herself (gave me a heart attack though lol) and this thing where she reaches out to go onto another vine then grabs the vine she was on with her tail and reaches forward with her back legs so its only her tail and front legs holding her :)

Bulbasaur climbs on the top of the cage despite being way too big for this at this point, and one time he fell off, and caught himself using only his tail around a vine halfway down the cage. Such fast reflexes.

Priscilla doesn't really do any crazyness, although the other day a superworm crawled on her arm and she stuck her arm over a branch and shook it frantically to get the worm off. The way she shook it was exactly the way a person doing the "GET IT OFF ME" dance would. It looked really funny, I've never seen either of them move any of their body parts that quickly, LOL.

I like when they bite me and act all aggressive towards me. I also had one shoot me in the eyeball with its tongue:D:D

I had one who scratched her eye with her hind leg to assist her shed looking very much like a dog with fleas:D

Must admit read none of the responses, but my female veiled eats right out of hand without hesitation. Mrs. Nosey is now allowing my 7 year old to hand feed her as well. Always does a species/locale human check over before feeding out of hand lol! Love her to death.....:p

Oh, how to choose! They've done so many neat things:

My wc verrucosus would lick water right off my hand.
My first wc melleri would decide to climb on me completely voluntarily (she free ranged and roamed the house).
Another melleri would threaten her reflection in a glass stereo cabinet door and then go around to the back to find the "real" intruder cham behind the glass.
My wc K. fischeri multi would walk down my arm to reach a food bowl held in my hand, sit on me and shoot at dinner.

I have a solid 6 inch piece of plastic on the sides of the cage that was to prevent my first mister from spraying outside the cage. There are vined running just below the plastic and i will walk into the room with my cage in it and i will see my chameleons feet on the branch and then i will see him slowly lower his head below the plastic and just state at me. he doesn't move, just sits and stares. When i walk up to the cage to get him out he doesn't run away like a "normal" chameleon, he stands his ground and tries to fight me lol

with the weather getting better i try and get my guys outside as much as possible. so lotus is pretty aggressive..when i go to get him out of the cage i will mist him and he usually closes his eyes. thats my key to swoop him up. luckily he is a slow thinker (i got away with this for a year now :p) well he has figured this out. he knows now that i spray him to pick him up.. so being the brainiac he is.. he runs and no matter how much i spray.... his eyes are open and moving through the cage locked on to me.. he gets to the vine in the very back and he will play "you cant see me around the vine". if i go left he goes to his left. if i go right he goes to his right. like i dont see him behind the vine LOL!

Krash krawled up my neck to my nose, spread his arms, looked me straight in the eye, put both arms on either side of my nose and looked like he was about to say "snap out of it, you know I love you!"

it's not "cool" but i think it's pretty funny. graham was being put up for the night and didn't want to go, so he wrapped his tail around his large crown and was trying to stay in the tree. pretty silly

lol you guys have some funny stories! Mine was when Mr.Chameleon for a couple days would shoot his tongue at my hand thinking I was food... even hwne I was just messing with the plants.

Don't you just love the noise that goes with that as they bring those back legs forward?! It's a lovely 'Fffff'! sound - gets me every time and I love it when Amy does it!:D

The coolest things for me is how my first chameleon (Lily) helped me get over my fear of her food - I wanted her so badly and I knew that in order to have her I would have to deal with the bugs. She taught me so much and she was a very special chameleon. So sweet natured - she never gaped or hissed. We had an amazing bond. I really miss her and she's been gone almost 2 years now. She was quite a character, bless her!:D

By far the most touching thing for me is when she was shedding. I would put on a knitted glove and she would sit on my hand and hold my thumb with her front feet and rub her eyes on the glove to get the shed off. Those were pretty special moments. My current female has also done this, but it's the memories of Lily that I treasure most.

i too think when my guy Camo is shedding hes the coolest he crawls back and fourth through my fingers rubbing off all the skin he actc like a tiny green dog. hes silly

Haha Delilah used to eat like this.

She's gotten too big for it though lol!

One cool thing I have caught Hugh doing is changing colors like crazy... He LOVES being out on his tree with no cage around him and I have caught him doing this crazy almost Octopus like color changing. From blue, greens, and yellows to reds, oranges, and even purple. I can't explain but it looks like a wave of colors just changing... I saw him do this once but haven't seen him do it again. :( He's my only male Panther so don't know if it's a common occurance with others but it amazed me how quickly he was changing colors. :D
