What is this colour morph called?

Hey everybody!

I am picking up my first panther chameleon on Monday. It is the male under the title "Chameleons" on this page: http://jibbasreptiles.tk/

The owner say that it is a Sambava. I looked it up and finded out that chameleons from that location is red. He tells me that there are two different colour morphs from Sambava. Red and green.

I also looked up other morphs and the one that was most alike is the one originated from "La Réunion".

What do you professionals say about this? Are there any green Sambavas, or is it more truely that the chameleon is originated from La Réunion or of an other locality?

It doesnt look much like a Sambava to me. I would say your more correct with the la Reunion locale. Seems they are more green with some small variations in their colours. I dont know anyone who owns any so it might be a good buy, unless your buying a baby in which case its probably a Sambava female meaning the babies will be a cross. Someone else with more experience in this local might be able to give you a definate answer.

im havent gotten into panthers yet, so i do not know to much about the locality, but am sure i know enough to say that it isnt or doesnt look like a sambava.

i want to say ambanja or ambanja x sambava cross

Before jumping to the conclusion that this isnt a Sambava, you may want to check out Kammerflage Kreations' Montezuma...he is very much a Sambava and very much GREEN. And Skorpion from Screamelons is very much a RED/Orange Sambava. They do in fact come in both colors.

Edit: Or to say it better, they SHOW both colors...I keep looking at the breeders, Kammers have a lot of Sambava and they have a couple more red and some more green. I wouldn't get excited that you are getting some rare locale "cheap" or upset that he might not be 100% Sambava...yet. Ok thats all I got! : )

Am I the only one that is gonna say the yellow and red, and lighter green is making me say there is at LEAST a little Nosy Mitsio in it?? Idk I think Nosy Mitsio x Sambava cross... At least... Maybe even more in it... Hard to say in my eye

I dunno, a lot of panthers show a ton of subtle colors, I am no expert but all you have to do is look at the photo gallery and spend HOURS looking at what cham you want next to know that, they are amazing...my guy is a cross and shows a little of everything but I know what he is crossed with. I think ppl get really excited about jumping to all these odd crosses...if you go by all the subtle colors seen, take into account crappy vs. ideal lighting and pic quality apparently everyone could have some exotic cross whether they want one or not. lol you could say he is a 10% this, 25% that 12.5% whatever etc etc if you really wanted...I would still go with Sambava.

I dont personally think its a Sambava. Far too much green with only a hint of colour in the eyes. If i was you i wouldnt buy it. Go to his for sale section on his website. His ethics are all wrong. He will only hatch prebooked eggs??? This guy doesnt have a clue, youd be best to find a reputable dealer even if hes giving you a good price for the chameleon. You would be doing yourself a favour in the long run.
