What is this? Is it a cut or something else????

Hey guys, this morning when I was feeding Nachito, I noticed a strange reddish marking on her arm. I thought it was blood but now I’m not sure after getting a closer look at it. What do you guys think?

Are you giving her meds via a shot?

Any sharps in the cage? This includes zip ties that were not clean cut.

Are you free feeding crickets loose in the cage?

No shots,most zip ties are cut down as much as they can be, I went in and trimmed some more just in case, crickets are not free range, some get out of the feeder and land on the floor but they can’t reach her where she usually basks. I’m looking at the photos again, could there be like a reddish lump on her side that’s been rubbed by her am?

Very active when I held her. Does not seem to be hampering her, moved very fast to get away from my hand and to reach her food earlier. Let me check if I have pics.

I didn’t end up touching it. But it didn’t seem to change as she climbed around my hand

It would help to know if it is below the skin or if it is bleeding. If it is an open wound it would need to be treated...

It is swollen compared to the old pics of the arm when it was normal.

The vet said when you took her in that she had MBD but that was it right?

Yes he said she has MBD. You see it a lot in her back legs. I don’t think he said anything else besides she could gain a little more weight.
