What kind of Cham

I've seen pictures on here but can't think of the species. The top of their head looks mosaic. Can someone tell me?

All I remember is being awed by the beautiful mosaic look on the top of the head, the rest of the cham was green I think. I figured it was a long shot.

No, not the one according to the pic I found on line. I want to say that the body was brown and the only color was on top of the head and it looked like a mosiac pattern. I know someone posted pics on it before.

Oh yeah I've always wanted one of those too.

I finally found one................

I'm fairly certain you're describing Bradypodion oxyrhinum (Uluguru One-Horned Chameleon):

My cousin, Chris, was selling some back from a shipment he had acquired in 2006.

Best regards,
Dave

Hello Chameleon!
Where have you been all my life?;)
That is an amazing animal.

Thanks Brad, but after searching the photo thread, I think I finally narrowed it down. I'm going to post 2 pics that Benny posted of Kinyongia Uthmoelleri and I hope that's okay. Where would I find one of these and do males and females look alike?

They're actually classified as Kinyongia oxyrhina now. Seeing those pics again makes me wish I knew how to work my camera better back then. Those pics would have been a lot better if I knew how to use manual mode. Ohh well...

Are you talking about 2 pics that Benny posted of Kinyongia Uthmoelleri or the pics from Brad that the name has changed?

I was talking about the two photos of a juvenile female Kinyongia oxyrhina that Dave posted and Brad commented on (they are actually my photos that I took and posted on the forum in 2006). The Kinyongia uthmoelleri (like Benny's pics you posted) are a different species. Both these species have very limited F1 export quotas (less then 30 specimens globally per year) and the only source of them in the US currently is Nick Mole at First Choice Reptiles.

Edit: Contact Jared Cain, he has a male K. uthmoelleri from his personal collection for sale at the moment: https://www.chameleonforums.com/kinyongia-sale-35246/

That oxyrhina female is hot!!!!:D Just way too many cool Kinyongia species

I have two male uthmoelleri. They are absolutely awesome!! Still shy but less skittish than the rest of my Kinyongia species. My small male is actually starting to greet me at the cage door for his food:) They still do not like my hands without food in them though!

You can see a nice female in this thread. Its the first pic.

Edit: Thanks, Chris. Yes I do have a nice male for a great price :)

I agree and that's why I chose to not credit you for the photos. You know me... always got your back. ;)
