what kind of chameleon is this????

Truth be told where you found him is not his natural habitat which most likely means with the proper amount of research and finding's of what type of cham it is exactly you'll most likely give em a better home the it roaming around in florida where it's not supposed to be

ied say keep him...as much as i love these lil guys..they do more damage beeing let loose in a place that is not their own than beeing kept as a pet..its the same for hawaii (they are an intrusive species there, and are, at somepoint going to start "destroying" invasive species to the island..

awesome find..have fun with yer new lil buddy!!:D

to bad people didn't keep their children in as pets because they do a hell of a lot more damage then good in my neighborhood."j/k :D I think you might mean they are capable of destroying indigenous species to the island.

They need to work on sending out the invasive people swarming and running south FL .

hahahaha LOVE IT..children in general ARE an invasive species..

:hanging out the window yelling at the skateboarders with fist in the air:

"damn whippersnappers!!" :D

thanks guys and Im keeping him regardless of what anyone would say I have two other chameleons and have had them in the past before I know i can care for him and I have a good cage set up for him its a medium screened cage since he is small and i move it outside during the day and bring him in my reptile room during the night cause i dont trust my neighborhood to leave them outside over night. any thoughts on what kind of cham it is? if he were older i could tell easier but the young ones always stump me.

Senegal?

Honestly your pics are too blurry for a good ID.

Take a photo in focus without the tub in the way...

The blurry photo of the gracilis in response cracked me up too.

From what I can see- it doesn't look very healthy.
Hydration may be a problem too.
And is that a subcu worm under it's skin on it's side?

he prob does need water and hasnt got much out there i just misted his cage and the leaves and he is drinking like crazy as for the worm im not sure i will have to take a better look at him but I am trying not to handle him right now to let him get a lil more use to his new home.

Its probably a safe bet to say you have more out there:D I think its neat, and if these animals learn to adapt with their environment and live where they are they become part of that ecosystem wether we like it or not. Then removing them in hand actually changes the balance of things. No I'm not saying its ok to release Wildlife into nonnative land at all but it is what it is. Either way cool finds.

thanks! and yea their are prob more I know where they are coming from just dont want to say for privacy reasons but no matter how many iv found or will find its still amazing! i hope i find more but if not I am perfectly happy =D

well i think since hes that big he has done fine out there. as for me if i found it id keep it that just how i am

well hes about 2 or 3 inches with tale and the other one is 3 or 4 inches with tale but yea I am keeping them chameleons are my fave lizard! i also have a 7inch graceful and a 14 inch oustalets chameleon.

Did you ever get an ID on them? Or any recent pix?

You mentioned that you "know" where they are coming from. Is it a human source? Like escapes, or a established colony? (no need to mention location or anything)

no not yet i completely forgot to take new pix thanks! here they are the first four are the smaller one and the last ones are the bigger one.
