What Kind of Enclosure Should I Get

I am starting my research on getting a Chameleon. I am in Colorado, and we have winter here. For my enclosure should I do glass, screen, or hybrid? I'm afraid with the screen type Enclosure I will not be able to keep it warm enough for him, but he will have his own room so maybe it won't matter? I would prefer to build my own enclosure, have it be screen and do a back with maybe PVC or something and then create a living wall or something of that nature. I'm just starting out so maybe I've got this all wrong. Any advice would be awesome!

I'd go with a repti-breeze 24"x24"x48". If ambient temps and/or humidity is a concern, put some film on the sides (linked below). I did this with mine and it helped a lot. Building your own is a great idea if you can pull it off, and may make it easier for hanging plants/vines. I am currently working on an outdoor cage using PVC and poultry fencing.

Great idea! I am good at wood working and carpentry. So, it seems I can spend a lot less money and get a way better cage if I build it myself. I just need to look at some others to get an idea for a plan of some sort.

Cool, then yeah I'd go with a custom setup. I'd personally go with 36"-48" wide, 24" deep, 36"-48" high. I think 24" wide is 'enough', but chameleons seem to use much more horizontal than vertical space ---I am thinking of replacing my repti-breeze with the exo-terra tall XL to provide the additional width. Regarding the height, 36" should be enough, but I'd place the cage elevated so the top of the cage is ~6 feet.
