What Panther to Buy?

I decided to buy a Panther instead of a Veiled, but I am not sure what type to go with. I know there are a few different species, but I am not sure of the differences in size and if they need anything special in their cage rather than a veiled?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

same care with veiled but can definitely benefit from more humidity and a tad less heat.
all furcifer pardalis should roughly equal in the size. They basically 1 species but different locale.
choose whichever that you like the most as far as the coloring goes.
mostly people go with ambilobe.

Why did you decide to get a panther instead? Why did you decide to buy a Chameleon? Have you ever owned one before?

I am an experienced herp owner, new to chams, but my roomate owns chams and I have done alot of research so I feel I am more than ready to own a Panther chameleon, I have more than enough time and devotion to properly own one.

I think I might get it from lllreptile.com because they have some nice prices. http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/animals/chameleons/

I would like to get one that will be very bright and colorful, blue and red and everything. Will the blue bar ambilobe, would tha t be a good choice? It is about $205 shipped.

Awesome, thanks!

I want to find a Panther for around $250 shipped.

I really like this cham..

If i buy a panther, at what age to they need to be put into a full size cage?

This little guy looks awesome, I would love to own him, when do they get their full colors, and are they always that bright, or only when fired up?

I have that little guys brother(maybe cousin, half brother, something like that) from Aldaris' previous clutch.

They are adorable. Just letting you know though, Nosy-Be's are blue, they are that brownish-red when younger, at around 4 months they start to really get their blue in.
I only mention it because you said something about you wanted one blue red and everything.

My little guy is always a bright blue with darker blue striping.

Full size cage anywhere from 6-8 months.

Yes, there have been several posts about lllreptiles herps before. Chameleonsonly is a good spot, and chameleoncompany

well, if you are looking for a deal you can try kingsnake.com
it is going to be difficult to find for 250$ shipped.
none of they well know breeders sell for that cheap.
You will probablly be buying a 3 month old panther...so, you will need a small cage.
Pathers do grow a little slower than veileds. so if you got an inbetween cage 18x18x36 that should be good untill he is 8-9 months old. you may need to upgrade sooner depending on how fast he grows. during his time growing in the cage you will need to get larger branches and vines.

you probably are going to look for morph (locale crosses) if you want that price.
If you are a purist then morph is definitely not your alley.
Chameleonsonly is a good breeder.

i believe 5 or 6 months is a good age for your cham to move to his permanent cage.
But, if he is one of the chameleon that are bigger than his peers, then you might want to consider moving him earlier than that,

I would love to have an entirley blue one! I think I am going to order from them, I have seen alot of people reccomend the krammers, and they are asking $315 shipped, which isnt too bad.

i think it's good enough.
if you concern that he won't be able to find food, you can half free roam the insects and another in cup.

I was planning on doing a mixture of cup feeding, to ensure he moves around and stays healthy.

How big of a cage will he need when he is full size? I think I am going to order on monday!!!
