My chameleon turned 1 year old in April and she was my first chameleon I have ever Owned. I feed her crickets everyday sprinkled with calcium and I have a uvb and uva light for her and I mist her cage everyday. I did about 2 months of research before I got her. But when I try to put my hand in her cage to hold her she locks on my finger with both eyes like she would to a cricket and then if I don't take my hand out she will wapp it with her tongue and try to eat my finger. Luckily she didn't eat my finger and hasn't bit it yet because I keep my hand were it is and she takes her tongue of. How will I put my hand in the cage to hold her without her trying to get my finger? Please help

I don't suggest posting the same thread twice in hopes of getting more responses. It tends to spam the new posts page and isn't very helpful to you either since people are seeing the same issue again. I hope you have better luck getting her out of her cage you can try putting a clean sock over your hand so it looks less like worms. things like these are more of a trouble shooting issues than one that needs expert advise so you can try out different ways to get her out as long as you are gentile

Thanks, also I didn't mean to post the same thing twice. I thought it didn't post so I tried it again then I realized it so I tried to delete the first one but I don't know how

I know my chameleon associates my hand with food. Do you hand feed your chameleon? If so, it could be a case of mistaken identity. Do some cage maintenance, like cleaning up the poops, and he or she could get used to your hand as a bringer of food and is safe to be with.
