What size phoenix worms should I get?

Title pretty much says it all, my 3 month old panther should be arriving next Wednesday, and I wanted to get some phoenix worms for him, but I'm not sure what the appropriate size would be for a three month old. I'm thinking medium?

As far as I know they only come in one size. They are a fly maggot. They turn into black soldier flies.

the large size isn't really that big...start with a batch of the small, just don't get too many, I bet your cham will out grow them fast. My guy was eating large at 5 months.

Carol: if you go to mulberry farms or google phoenix worms and go to their site they have several different sizes.

StreetMoggy: Thanks for the advice, I'll probably do that

Also, does anyone know how to get them to pupate into the flies? From what I understand chams really like flying things

I got medium and even a 3 month old panther eats them with ease, from now on I will get the large ones!!!

They normally come in small, medium and large. There's not allot of difference in the size (all small) but the small and medium last longer before turning into flies.

oh thanks! I have only bought them a couple of times and got some recently at a reptile show. The are very small and then they turned black and some of them into flies. I have never seen them what I would consider get "big"like silkworms or other types of worms. I am assuming if they turn into flies then they are the largest they are gonna get and they are still pretty dinky!! The first time I got them, I threw all the black ones away cause I thought they were dead! i did not know they turned into flies! lol

I started with small and they were a bit too small for my 5 month old Panther. Last time I bought Large and they were a bit better. Both my Panthers love them and they are high in calcium. Wish they were bigger!
