What to do when you miss a calcium w/d3 or multivitamin feeding

Hi guys, I couldn't seem to find a thread regarding this, although I'm sure it's somewhere around here.

What should one do in the event that a chameleon is stubborn or isn't hungry the day that you are administering feeders dusted with a d3 or multivitamin supplement?

My guy was only hungry enough to eat 2 dusted crickets. Should I give him some more today, or is it okay to wait a couple more weeks and stick to the normal dusting schedule? Thanks!

You can always try a couple more in the day, or wait 2 days, and feed just a couple more dusted first thing in the morning before others. I tend to shorten up feeding the day before Ca w/ D3 or multivitamins. Just to make sure they eat. The world won't stop on it's axis either way.

If you're a day or a few late it's not a big deal. That could be said with just about any supplement. ;)

My solution is to use only Repashy Calcium Plus LoD for all dustings. That way each feeding is just like another.

While the conventional wisdom is the every-day-plus-two-every-two-weeks routine, I found postings here of experienced cham keepers using the far more simple blended-dust solution successfully, so that's what I'm doing.

After three months everything seems to be going fine for me. I plan to continue this way.

I also use Repashy cal+LoD with every feeding. My male veild is 11-13 months old and I feed every other day. Been using just the cal+LoD for 7 months and am very happy with it (my cham seems to be doing very well)

Duly noted. I'll have to do some research. Just to clarify, This Repashy Cal+LoD is all a cham needs to live a happy life? Or would it be more beneficial to feed other supplements such as d3 and multivitamin?

Junglefries: Thanks your input... you seem like a good guy (or gal?). Either way, I'm defintely going to try to give my guy more outside time, or at least under a stronger UVB bulb when I have him out freeranging inside during the winter.

Best regards,

Li
