What type of Cham should I get?

Hi All! I am new to the forum and have been lurking around learning about chameleons. I have two crested geckos (one is a rescue) and a bearded dragon, and just recently fell in love with chameleons. I have seen so many types and now I am not sure what kind to get. I will of course study up on the one I choose and get an eclosure ready for it before getting one. I would like one that can be handled occasionally without getting too stressed. I understand that they need to be left alone most of the time, and would keep contact to a minimum. So, what would you recommend for a noob with some reptile experience? Thanks in advance for your advice. Oh, I will mention that I do like the carpet and the bearded pygmy, but need some "professional" advice! :)

Veileds and panthers (Ch. Calyptratus and F. Pardalis respectively) are recommend for beginners. I've read that many Jackson's don't mind being handled as much as others, but they are a little more advanced.

Panther, Panther, Panther, my personal choice of course. Get a young captive bred from one of the members. You'll have a great start with a healthy animal and all the support you need! Welcome to the addiction :D

draetish, I am going to say you are a panther fan... lol! GoFast - I love reptiles, but chams just seemed so strange to me at first. I think it was the wonky eyes. :D I was at a pet store (a very nice one) a couple of months back, and they had one of their more outgoing veiled males out. The guy let the cham climb onto my hand, and the veiled gave me a "how you doin?" look with one of his wonky eyes, and I was smitten! They are amazing from their kooky eyes all the way down to their super cool feet!

thanks for the suggestion draetish. I really am thinking about getting a panther. I am going to a reptile show in KC next weekend and just have a look see. When I finally decide and get all of the supplies, I will definitely get one from one of the members on here. And thanks for the advice and welcomes! I love reptile loving peeps! So friendly! :)
