What Type of Chameleon is this??

Am sorry I.dont remember how much they were asking. This was a reptile show in Phoenix they had various chameleons. & these were one that obtained my attention looked like a mini dinosaur lol :) the females were green BTW

I've kept them for a few years. They are incredibly beautiful! Keeping them is comparable with keeping montium, deremensis etc., though cristatus is a bit more a lowland species. I kept them in well planted 50x50x73cm glass terrariums, 24C during the day, and about room temperature at night. They like a lot of water too. Just like quads, montium, deremensis, matschiei, they just sit there and drink when you spray water above them. Highly recommended species for experienced keepers :)

yea i was deffinately thinking a glass terrarium for these guys. its very hard to keep humidity up in screen cages. i like the less common species i find them more interesting!

A few years back, a member who is no longer very active, Brad Ramsey, got a pair of these, and tried something with them. He didn't want to do the glass, as he already had a screen cage to use, so he filled a big rubbermaid tub with soil and plants, and had the screen cage around the top of the tub to have the soil be the ground of the enclosure. Seemed like a good idea, and he suggested it kept humidity up fairly well.

Most, if not all of the ones offered for sale are Wild Caughts. We have kept them and they are a bit more challenging to keep... Especially wild caught that are usually stressed and dehydrated

Here are a video of some we had.. they where wild caught
