6500K should be 6500K regardless of whether it's fluorescent or LED.You want 6500k lights for plants and that also provides visual white light... I personally prefer the look of T5 6500ks over LEDS.
Also, anywhere from 5000K to 7000K is fine. There are also species & plant life-cycle factors (e.g. for fruiting/flowering, 3500K to 4500K are better).
