my all screen cage is 16x16x29 - i have a 5.0 UVB florecent and i have a 100 watt ZO0-MED daylight (blue)

i am currently housing 2 VEILDS in this cage they are juivinil's.

i will seperate them soon and get 2 bigger tanks but a 100 watt shouldnt be TOO MUCH

or ... is it???

they seem to be hanging out about 5-7 inches away from the bulb, so as of now it seems to be right...

any one have suggestions??

thanks!

A 75 watt bulb should do fine. You can use a regular incadescent bulb. They are are your standard bulbs you would use for the house. They are a lot cheaper.

really?

i thought the chamelions need a source of UV-A ... the ZOO-MED dalight bulb is the only UV-A source i have for lighting......???

incandescent lamps give off UVA. the reptile lamps at pet stores are nothing special, except the packaging. I would buy a flood lamp if I were you. Not the heavy outdoor type.. just a normal flood for indoor use. 60w should be good.

Place the UVB and flood light right next to each other with a basking perch about 6-8" below the two lamps so that the cham can bask in the light of both lamps.
