Should I get 1/2 inch think bendy vines from lllreptile or the 1/4inch? He is 3 months old and about a week. I'd like for them to last him awhile and would hate if he fell because the 1/4inch vines were to small for him. I haven't got him yet and he will be my first chameleon I just want the best for him.

I've read the same, that you want a variety of sizes so that their grip stays strong and they don't just get used to the same thing all the time. Kind of like different exercises versus the same thing over and over gives you a better workout. I had the thickest vine out of the three sizes (along with the others) and my panther used them all from the day I got him at 4 months old if that helps.

Theres a good bit of back and forth on the cfl,if I where you, I'd just get a tube fixture and be done with it,they're Def good for even light spread especially in a bigger enclosure. I have a 24" dual t5 from light your reptiles and love it.

Other places also have fixtures from Zoomed at if you want a simple t8 lower output lamp,they come in 18" sizes as well

It never hurts to email Todd with Light Your Reptiles (under LYR "contact us" on website) either if you're unsure. He was beyond helpful when I was picking my fixture for a custom armoire enclosure and will make sure you have exactly what you need for your setup.
