What's everyone up to

My husband and I are trying to buy a house! IT'S HUGE!!!!! And we don't know if we will be able to, but we are standing on the ledge, leaning over! Waiting to hear back from the finance lady with the realtor's office. And it's a steal at $55K! Needs LOTS of work, but the bare bones of the house are great! Especially for being 117 years old! PLEASE say a prayer for us that we get good news on Monday...We really need it!

No, did not and will not mention roaches. She would freak. But literally she WILL NOT go down in the basement so it's no big deal. She has allergies that go ape crap crazy when she goes down there. Hasn't been down there in years and doesn't keep anything of hers down there. So it's all good.

Also, it's not that I WANT to hide anything from her to be devious or break any kind of agreement, it's just that if I ever asked her about keeping roaches she wouldn't understand and say no. I believe that the roaches will be key in the overall nutrition of my roaches, so I believe it to be a better decision not to mention it.

I thought I'd get this thread rolling again. I have two chameleon projects I'm working on at the moment. One is installing cool mist humidifiers in my cages for raising humidity at night as per the naturalistic approach. I'm trying to find the right combo of piping and fittings for efficient delivery of the mist.
The other project is building a new drainage system for my cage that is in the family room. I was using the top drawer of a rubbermaid three drawer storage unit. It looked ok as it has a wicker look. Sadly the plastic legs are struggling with the weight of the cage, drainage basin, misting system and reservoir. So I found a little end table that goes with my other furniture and has a drawer big enough for the misting system. I'm trying to build a base for the cage that will add some height, match the mission style furniture and contain the drainage. Sounds easy right? Shop class was many moons ago but it's starting to come together. If I remember I will take pictures.

Very cool, I love talking about projects :D

You will have to post when you are done! This is somewhere on my to-do list. I have a cool mister next to the cages, but I really want to pipe it in. Seeing other people's diy foggers always good for ideas!

My immediate project is a 2ftx5ftx6ft outdoor cage. I have all the supplies, waiting for the temperatures to drop back down into the 90s before I start. My first outdoor! Very excited, will alternate giving the boys daytime exposure, so each will have some natural sunshine every other day.

On the side, I am attempting to acquire two cabinets for upgrading the indoor enclosures, how perfect would these be!? They are 21inx22inx6ft, $50 each
