Whats going on! Should i be worried?

So i changed the temps in her cage... its get to bout 82 in her baskings pot. and today i noticed it looked like she was breathing with her mouth open for maybe 10secs. i read on a nother website thats a sure sign your cham is sick.. is this true???/

also i only see her eat about 4-6 crickets a day! i put alot more but it hard to see how manys left in the tank becuz they hide in the leafs so i tried to feed her by putting a container in her tank on the wall but shes only ate out of it once teh 1st time i put it in and it been 2days and still the same crickets in the container... she goes for the ones that are hiding so shes not liking the container.. at what age can you start feeding them other things other then crickets???
and what is a good plant i know ficus but ive been having a hard time finding one

Does she lay something like this? Almost hugging the branch. If so that is normal. She is just chillin. The spots (Dark) , I would say she is trying to absorb the heat. It is all normal behavior. She is not sick just overheating a little.

Make sure you have your temps corrects in the basking and ambient air and she gets moved to the screen cage and the other things people have been recommending.

You are being a good parent but a little paranoid. :D

As for feeding - If they will take it is it ok now. Small roaches, Hornworms (baby ones) silkies, phoenix. wax worms, butter worms are all good to add to your feeding as snacks.

When my chams were babies is the only time they would eat phoenix worms as they are really small. As adults they will not touch them.

I don't use a container , I free range the crickets in the cage. My Chams eat better when they are running around.

Plant - I love to use a Ficus and a Schefflera arboricola
aka - dwarf schefflera, hawaiian umbrella, schefflera

You are doing a great job with your first Cham and asking all the right questions.

My little panther girl like to lay on the branches like you are describing.

The cage is a little large. If it were my only option I would move her to the mesh rather than continue to use the glass. You just need to be sure she can get to and find her food. you could even use somehting to split the cage and provide less exploring room.

good idea! thanks
also i have been wondering how every1 keeps those fake plants that stick to teh glass with suction cups on the mesh? i bought alot of them and she does love to to climb them so i would like to use them..
i hoping to find a plant today either the ficus aka dwarf schefflera or the dracaena deremensis.

You can use wire ties or metal wire or string and use the holes in the screen to rap them and attach them. Be careful no sharp parts are sticking out that might scratch or poke.
