im am going to welcome a new baby panther tomorow. whats the habitat difference between veildes and panthers? as far as temps and humidity i mean.

I have veileds and my daughter has panthers. The main difference is that she keeps the panthers temps a tad lower and and their humidity at tad higher. Jann

Do you mean she keeps the panther temps lower? I guess I always thought panthers are kept a bit cooler than veileds. We set up for basking at about 85f for panthers and 95f for veileds. Adults. Although some of our panthers do like it warmer.

Hey Ken! The adcham site is a good one. Also Gesang is right about the basking temps being around 85 and a little more humidity. Your guy will still be on the younger side so I would recommend a little cooler than that. The ambient temp shouldnt get more than 80 and I would try to keep it around mid 70s. Just make sure he has a lot of space to go cool down. I am going to send you a little care sheet and some recommendations later tonight. Feel free to ask my any questions that come to mind. My number is on my ad if you dont still have it. Call ANYTIME!!!

thanks cain. im just waiting right now for the little guy to get here. my mom has to go out so im staying home to get him. ive got everything set up just waiting for the new addition. the temps are at 75 ambient and his basking is 82 degrees farenheit. im going to mist down the cage this morning when my other chameleon wakes up at 7. its so hard to wait for this guy to come because ive been waiting since march to get one from you!
