What's up with this snake?

That looks like a water mockasin. They are poisonous. Don't mess with it.

I agree! Definitely looks like a venomous water moccasin, but I would need a better pic of the head to be sure. It could just be a banded water snake that has flattened itself out to look bigger.

Closest pic I took. Pretty sure it was the banded water snake. This snake was aggressive at all. I just shewed him off. Just a strange looking feller

I think you are correct. The shape of the head doesn’t look like a water moccasin to me.

I’m guessing banded water snake with a odd patern( due to head not bein as large as water moccasins )

then again i would highly suggest leaving it be.
