VW's in my opinion are awesome, They never give up LOL, my 2 buddys, both have them, and say they never break down, they just dont have alot of power

I had a 71 Westfalia! We used to roll the In&Out drive thru and then park and eat in the back. It had the camper package, linolium floors, dinette...etc

Whats your MPG on that super duty?? My F450 w/V10 only gets like around 5-7mpg!!

I have the 6.0 PSD 11-13 is about average. Your first mistake was getting the gasser.

agree!! Corvettes suck!! At least with the "shift into 6th mode" that they have........


and the V10 has more power..IMHO......at least when I'm going up hill, seems I pass every1 else that have diesels.

I still have my '74 Lola T360 "parked" in the garage, waiting for me to fix a front main seal. This photo was probably taken about 7 yrs ago (more hair and a lot less of it gray!) Too many zeros in the dollars that I've put into that machine .

Funny how in 2002, I used to be cranky about paying $3.75/gal for 111 octane racing fuel .

To you bike lovers!

I used to want a bike for when I turn 16 but I have totaly gone against the idea ever since a SUZUKI 400 hit my dads truck at like 140+ km an hour.

It happend last week friday, my uncle was in the passenger seat, my dad was driving and my friend and I were in the back.
We were on a road turning right onto another road (in suburban area) and the biker was going so fast he didnt see us turning..... he tried over taking us on the right side of us using the road on the next turn but we were already turning so he hit us full force just by my dad (the drivers seat is on the right side in South africa).
He his us so hard he pulled us out of the turn and put us straitwards on the road again, when he his us he flew over the bonit (hood) of the truck and hit a wall, his bike spun and then hit the wall next to him, when he hit the wall his helmet split in half.
On the impact all the oil went out all over my dads truck.

I jumped out and was in a state of shock, I thought he was dead for sure until I heard him start moaning.

Luckily my other friend lived on the corner of the street near the place of the accident, so my friend and I were running to his house and were stopped by many of the neighbors that were asking if there had been an accident because they heard the loud noise.

After all that my dad was going to turn the truck around so we could drive home and so he turned onto someones drive way, as soon as he did that the axle broke, the guy hit just behind the front right wheel so that shows you just how hard he hit us.

If all of it happend 2 seconds later my dad would have ended up in hospital or worse dead.


So theres my life lesson, no motorbikes for me.

But I would like to build up my own muscle car for when I am 18, maybe something like a pontiac fire bird or a mustang.

There is a lot of bias in your argument. Motorcyclist do stupid things and people get hurt. Don't blame the rest of us for a few deaths and an unfortunate accident with your dad.

To answer your questions, I keep my bike below 100. I know my limits and do need to push them. Believe it or not, some of us actually take safety courses and care about our lives and the lives or those around us. So yeah, that means, I keep my distance and/or go around cars. We have to assume everyone is trying to kill us.

Once again, you are making hasty generalizations. Your arguments do not have sound logic. Accidents happen and people die. Ive see them, been in them and been exposed to the gore and still feel the same way.
