When to Move into Adult Cage?

hi everybody! i am finally going to be bringing home my next baby veiled in the beginning/ middle of April and have formulated a plan.. we have a small partial glass, partial screen enclosure to start him in but i want to get him into a full screen enclosure as soon as possible. we are going to get his adult enclosure 48x24x24 before we bring him home so that it will be all set up and we will know how to keep the temp and humidity where it needs to be by the time he can be put in it. so my question is, when is it okay to put him into the full size screen enclosure? he's going to be between 3 and 5 months when we bring him home.. i can partition it off if needed! i also plan on hand feeding and cup feeding to keep track of what he is eating.

Following. I was literally about to ask the EXACT same question. Same cham, same cage dimensions, same everything..lol

You can put him into the adult cage right away.

if hes still small, you can partition it off, if hes bigger, just teach him to cup feed.

i am currently, waiting for my nosy be panther to become of age before I can bring him home from the breeder. I too went through this dilemma when I was preparing my setup, as I originally wanted an Oustalets so I immediately bought a 24x24x48 and the appropriate equipment to accompany it. When I decided I was going to get a baby panther, I talked to a lot of members and read some old threads on the matter and as long as you are making sure Your baby can find food in his cage (cup feeding), is staying hydrated, and doesn't have any problems getting to and from his basking sites, you can start juvenile out in adult sized cages. However, if you do try this, I'd advise that you monitor him as closely as possible for the first week or so. If you do decide to use the smaller cage first, you might want to let give him at least a week or two to settle into the first cage. As you can imagine, moving to a new place, settling in, and then quickly moving to another new cage could be stressful for the little guy.

i know they take time to settle in, ive had a baby veiled before and he took some time to settle in :) i would like to get the adult cage set up with everything and have the temp and humidity on point before i move him into it, so as long as that all goes according to plan ill probably just put him in the adult cage from the get go! :)
thanks for sharing your experiences guys!!
any one else have any thoughts on this?
