When to separate chameleons?

Hello, right now I have a male and female veiled chameleon, they are about 3 months old now.

I currently have them both in a 30x18x18 screen cage and they seem to really enjoy each others' company for the moment they spend a lot of time near each other and follow each other around.

I was wondering when is a good time to separate them? I already prepared a separate cage.

Also, do I need to have some sort of barrier to block their vision to each other?

And lastly, are my setups suitable?

try to hand feed....nice setup but looks a little empty (right cage)
