while this is a great fun thread, i do have to point out that the rep is not an exact indication of the knowlege of how good of a keeper the member is.
i for example am ranked #9 in rep and KNOW that there are many members that have waayyy more experience and knowledge than i do.
there are some members below me that are acctually the people i look to for advise and help.
not to say that there is not some marrott to the rankings as people like Kinyongia and Laurie have always been there anytime i and others have needed help and or advise, but there definalty is a bit of politics and favouritism involved.
i have fun with the rep, and enjoy it as part of the forum, but just felt id throw in my 2cents.

i moved up! its actually sorta fun, like a game on how long it takes to get your next dot makes you try harder to give useful advise aswell

For what it is worth I should not be where I am. There are a lot of people way higher up that their knowledge merits. Also a lot of people, like me, just don't have a broad knowledge base. Until 2 or 3 years ago all i had ever had was vields, panthers and 1 lone elliotti, who died. Just a couple of excellent long time keepers are kinyonga, fluxlizard, motherload chameleon, trace, kent67, steve sims, todendo, chuck G. and about at least another 50 who belong above me and above a bunch of other's who are up near me. of course jmho

Hoj has a great point...I don't think anyone should look at my rep points and say "oh, she has experience, I'll trust her"...my rep points are mostly based on being either obnoxious or friendly. Some seemed based on providing information about posting on the board, not about caring for chameleons.

I have a deskjob, one that i am veryyy good at. ALL MY WORK IS DONE 2 HOURS INTO MY WORK DAY!

So that means i have a 6 hours to wander the forum. lol

So all that means is that i am VERYY ACTIVE on the ChamForum. Having a iphone dont help either. . I don't think i have ever been "logged off" the forum. (im sure that green light is ALWAYS on)

I MOD 2 other forums. I know my way around the board pretty well. Just wanted to know what the "ratings" were based on.

It gets a lil hard to not try to MOD here, lol. I MOD a veryyyyyyyy active Automotive forum, and it's all about saving bandwidth. Last week I tried to merge 2 threads similar in nature by the same member. I had to catch myself.
