I just bought my chameleon a new enclosure ( 24x24x48 in) and I want to buy some artificial branches and leaves to wrap around the branches to complement any real plants i buy, but having a hard time finding what i want. Anyone have a suggestion of where to look. Im really just looking for long straight branches that i can use to give my chameleon some vertical movement.

craft stores are a great place to start, thats where i got all my foilage, just rinse them off before u put them in the cage just in case theres anything on them. they also have dial rods, and possibly fake sticks. or baking real sticks to put in there. not sure if you have a michaels, or a.c. moore nearby..got all my stuff at michaels, great deals on fake ivy vines and such.

I havent bought sticks forever. Like Jann, I use all natural that are free!! Buy a nice schefflera, pothos or ficus and then get some sticks from the outside and there you go!!! When cleaning time comes you just toss them out and get new ones.

Im really hooked on the Flukers branches and vines. They look the most real and the vines are silk..... not plastic so they soak up the moisture instead of just beading off, this lets that moisture evaporate and add humidity:) There are also lots of options on E Bay & Amazon for silk fake plants. Most here will say go real...... Thats ok too. I dont know if living in Wisconsin has much to do with it , but I havent had much luck with plants.... I did have a real nice Ficus tree I would put out on the patio for summer.... But the Chipmonks discovered it & rooted all around in it and it died! I have a new 1 now, It will stay indoors. I just also bought a nice big super realistic fake 1 . Lets see those chippies root around in rock! Thats all they are going to find in that pot!;) Burt looked so sad when i went take him out to soak up some rays and his beautiful lush tree was just sticks.....

Idea for what to do with a dead ficus

I have always been able to make nice walkways using all natural branches. Much cheaper and you can find branches that fit what you need in your cage. Different diameter branches are good and natural are easy to create that varying width for your cham to crawl on. JMO

Very nice idea.... I could do that.... easy. Im a cabinet maker by trade. Im going to build a new cage soon. I will give it a whirl...:D
