White stuff forming on baby nose, seems to be blocking nostril

Hey all,

over the past few days this white stuff is forming on my baby's nose. at first i thought it was just odd coloration but it is persistant and although she is def still active she has started sleeping during the day and is slightly less energetic.

It SEEMS like something growing over her nose/ possibly blocking airflow?

NOTE: I have not given her any supplements since I saw this happening a few days ago. It seems to be getting worse so I don't think its a "salt buildup"

EDIT: I have tried taking a ton of photos, she is so tiny this is about the best I can get with my camera :\

That's really what it looks like.

But if she's sleeping during the day, that's a problem.

Maybe you should fill in the form and see what people experienced with little ones like that have to offer.

She's freaking adorable, but I'm sure you know that.

Oh the cuteness is killing me. I hate to lose her...but I really don't know what more to do or what to change :( I've posted the relevant information below:

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Baby R.brev; hatched ~2weeks ago
Feeding - originally D.hydei just cause I didn't have D.mela; now its just D.mela always about 15 in the tank with him (no supps on them currently); never seen her eat
Supplements - Calcium only during the first week; nothing now
Watering - Mist her a billion times a day
Fecal Description - HAVE NOT FOUND ANY POOP. It might be too small...but based on the way all my other chameleons poop (way big) I'm surprised.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - 8x8x12 exo terra lined with moist paper towels and twigs
Lighting - std 6500k cfl
Temperature - 72F bottom - 79F top
Humidity - mist a ton

At first, I thought maybe a piece of paper towel had stuck to her face. Today I misted her heavily and used a Q-tip to gently rub at it but nothing came off.

She has been standing with her head held high lately...I find they do that when they are unhappy trying to show that they "aren't unhappy"

She started sleeping during the day (but only partly, she is still active just less than she was in week 1). Also, as of tonight her OTHER nostril (the good one) has turned black while she's sleeping (the rest of her is normal nice light brown, in fact it almost blends in with the white spot forming on her nose)

edit: there she goes....

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. As great luck as I've had with adults I just can't seem to raise babies past 1month old...if anyone knows, I would really really like to know what I am doing wrong? :(

Im so sorry you are having such a hard time with your pygs... i hope things get better and someone can help you.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I do think that extremely young babies have a fairly high failure rate. It's probably less you doing something wrong and more just plain bad luck.
