As far as I know it's extra minerals that he doesn't need so he excretes it. I usually just wipe it down with my finger.
How often do you dust in multivitamin mix? Or what do you use for dusting?

I use the repti cal I think it's called. But I have to go out and get one without d3 cause mine has it and apparently it's only to be used twice a month. So I need a daily one.

That is correct, he is excreting the extra calcium. Are your feeders ghost white after dusting? If so, you are using too much. They only need to be slightly lighter to their normal color. I also didn't see any mention of vitamin supplements as you will need that as well.

-regular calcium dusting at every feed.
-calcium with d3 twice a month.
-vitamin dusting twice a month.

My baby female veiled did this as well. I was so afraid at first! I thought she was sick. Misting seemed to help break down the solidified chunks coming out of the nostril. My veiled is now about 9-11 months old and I haven't seen it since a few months ago. Like many other posts under your thread, it seems that your cham has a nutrient overload and is excreting what it doesn't need.

Thank you for this breakdown. I am also a new owner to a veiled male. I was dusting mine everyday a with the calcium + d3. So I need to get another one that is "just calcium" then? What is the other "minerals" they need also? I am so thankful for this site.
