White substance in nostrils

I have a 3 month old veiled purchased from FLChams. She seems fine and is eating well. We got her on December 22nd and have used the calcium supplement once a week on small crickets. Yesterday she developed the white substance in her nostrils. I have read this can be caused by excessive calcium supplements. Is that true?
I don't have a picture to send right now, but can try and get one tonight.
Thanks.

if the substance is powdered or crystallized then yes it is excess calcium if it it liquid and runny then a vet visit is a must

It's just how they excrete salt and other minerals from their system. I thought the same thing when I got my cham, but eventually found a thread on here where someone mentioned it. I seem to notice it more when using a water dechlorinator for his misting and dripper. No worries, though!

I suggest checking out the care sheets as the calcium supplement should be used daily not once a week
Yes, I have since read that in the care sheet. I feed her mostly small 1/4 inch crickets, so should I slightly dust them every time she is fed? She also loves the mealworms and I read that they aren't very nutritious. Would it be best to give her maybe one a day with the calcium dust?
Thank you.

Good to know.
Since the care sheet states giving the calcium suppliment daily and I've only given it weekly, can we explain the excess?
Sorry, I'm REALLY new to Cham care.
Is this just a normal occurrence for baby veils?
Thank you.

It could be an excess of any mineral or other substance not just calcium. I would dust the calcium as recommended on the care sheet.

You want to use a calcium supplement daily. You only want to use calcium with D3 every 14 days (two weeks). You want to use a multi vitamin every two weeks alternate with the D3.
