Well Ive been super busy lately. School has started and I have a heck of a schedule. I am in the process of selling most of my adult panthers to focus primarily on baby's hatching over the next year, because they are a heck of alot of work (duh). I wont be breeding anything probably for another 6 months or more. I still have 14 panther clutches remaining from various locales, so I have my work cut out for me for quite some time. I have been itching to dig into some other species as well, but for now, these little boogers soak up alot of my time and money, but just take a look at the pics... Its totally worth it.
First photo is a new clutch of Ambilobes. 27 eggs in the clutch, and they started hatching two weeks ago. These 6 pictured out of the egg here put me at 14 out of 27 hatched.
I have another clutch of 25 from the same father, but a different mother, and they have been raised outdoors for 80% of the time. I have been observing growth rates of them being outdoors all the time and I have seen them grow faster, but NOTHING like what some other breeders. No monster 2 month old panthers yet
. I will also ad that after 1 month old, I am keeping 3 per 20" cage. This new clutch I am raising entirely outdoors, until the cold forces me to bring them in.
the 6 photographed above being release into the "wild"
Newborn being mugged by siblings
A 2.5 month old from the previous clutch with quite the blues goin on
