Why is it bad to mist at night?

i agree totally...it needs to dry out at some point..why not at night since we have to mist during the day anyway...

Yeah, I cant understand why ppl are wasteing their water? I mean it costs me a considerable amount of $$ every month just keeping everyone hydrated on filtered water. I dont drink out of the tap so neither do my chams. They arent drinking at night so your just wasteing that filtered water.

An enclosure is not the same as the natural habitat. Different nutrient sources for microbial growth (different species of wood & leaves, plastics, soil composition, etc.). The biodiversity of microbes is going to be different regardless of moisture availability.

I'm unaware of any studies or cases that support the need to allow an enclosure to dry every night but having some dry time to reduce the possible risk makes sense to me.
