Why is my chams crown crooked?

I don't know how to spell the actual name of it and my autocorrect doesn't seem to want to work rn lol so I will be calling it a crown. I've noticed this for a while now but bc he is so active and eats and drinks and poops well it hasn't really bothered me. I've seen other veiled's have this before but it was mostly bc of MBD. Why is the top of his crown crooked? Should I be nervous or is this normal? He is 9 months old btw

If your chameleon had a resting spot too close to the top of the enclosure it may over time cause the casque to have a bend, but it would have to be for an extended period of time (not just for one night). He could have been rubbing it against the enclosure and it grew that way. (Just a guess, not really seen this happen before.)

So this isn't normal? Geez ok. Is this gonna effect him in anyway?

Not saying that, but it does have a big bend. Just throwing out an idea. The casque wont be totally straight and can have some indents, etc.

He is in a different set up from when he was a baby and the heat and his basking spot is a lot better. So this isnt gonna effect him in any way?

I'm no expert, and I'm using a small screen right now, so I'd like to see the pics on my main screen to see if I notice anything, but I've never seen any problems caused by a crooked Casque alone. Perhaps someone else has?

Ok thanks, I'm pretty sure it's from a burn from when he was younger bc he always hung out by the lamp. When a burn occurs does it turn white? Bc I remeber that happening

Now that I see the pics on the bigger screen, I would definitely think it is from a previous burn. The first picture you posted looks like the damaged area fell off and the way it healed just caused it to grow in that direction. It shouldn't effect him in any way that I am aware of except maybe the ladies will think it looks cool .

:D

Some cowboys wore there hats crooked, as it was stylish. If think he looks rugged and tough! It looks as if he's ready to say 'Go ahead, make my day!'
