Why is my Veiled Chameleon trying to eat my hair?

My 3 to 4 month old Veiled loves to come out of his cage and hangout. I usually have my hair up in a bun, but I've been wearing it down. I have very long aburn hair and he has been avidly trying to eat it. Does anyone know why he is doing this.

He likes you.
Feel honored that he crawls on you comfortably and probably is not actually eating your hair. Mine does the same thing, but just nuzzles through my hair.
You are blessed with a friendly cham. I know others here who complain about the "unfriendliness of theirs.

He is just the best. I couldn't ask for a better first chameleon. He has never been fearful of me, but I gave him plenty of space at first. I only handle him when he chooses.

Please be sure that your chameleon does not ingest your hair especially if its long. It can become entangled in the food moving through the digestive systems and lead to problems.
