Why so scared??

I have a 8 month old veiled. He lives in a netted cage around 3 feet by 2 feet. He gets misted for 30 seconds maybe 6 times a day. His cage stays around 80-85 degrees. He has never really liked me, and i signed up for a "see but not touch" animal in the first place. I knew i wasn't going to hold him every day and i expected a very antisocial animal. I got him around 4 months old and he was in love with me. he would wait at the front of the cage until i got home and he would fly onto my hand. Around 2 months ago something happened. He because seriously antisocial. He never wanted to come out anymore (which doesn't worry me). Now he is extremely antisocial. Not only does he hate being near me but i believe he is showing signs that he feels unsafe. I have had many pets in my life and i would NEVER want any of them to feel unsafe. He stopped eating from my hand around a month ago. He officially hates me... today i put my hand out (did not force him to do anything) and he hissed then bit me. He didn't draw any blood but i have some marks on my skin. I feed him dusted crickets every day. I bought him a live tree but he doesn't seem very interested unless i sort of coax him on the tree. Do you have any idea what is happening? I realize that chameleons are sweet as babies and are more antisocial later in their lives, but he is acting up and is always in a bad mood! I am very concerned for his happiness and safety.

VVVVVVV Here is a photo i was able to take so my vet could see what the bumps on his skin were (just a skin irritation.) Around a month ago.

My veiled does pretty much the same thing. He is almost a year old and does not like to be handled. Just in the last few weeks he will come to his
feeding dish when I' am sitting in front and not moving. Guess the is always hope.

Might be puberty. I know it sounds odd but Chameleons get hormonal too!

My Veiled also enjoys having drastic mood changes. He will want to come right out some days and others he will hiss when I clean his poop. I named him Mr Grumpy for a reason.

Nahhh, just let old khokie eyes have some space and try some hand feeding. They always warm back up. Forcing a relationship could hurt the situation.
