Does my Cham's poop smell terrible when I fed hornworms? When we feed anything else, no smell. They have had fecals very recently. I had ordered a cup of the hornworms, and they ate a lot, and wow, next poops were really stinky. No such problem with crickets, wax, butter, phoenix, silk or super worms.

Oh believe me, you dont have to get close to smell the offending poops, you can smell em at arms length!

Too many soft bodied feeders can lead to loose poops / poor digestion.
If after returning to a diet with more chintonous bodies (crickets, roaches, mealworms, superworms) you find the odour remains, you should have a fecal test done.

They just had fecals done less than a month ago. No loose poo nothing alarming, just very stinky after feeding horns. Hornworms are gone, still giving silks and supers and butter, with a side of crickets, no more smell. I just thought there was something to do with the hornworms, like beans and people, that caused them both to have smelly poops. The hornworms seem to have the same food in the cup, so that is not it (mulberry farms feeders).
I doubt I would order the hornworms again, they grow too quickly and the chams seem to tire of them quickly.
