will crickets eat styrofoam

I bought a thousand Crickets a size small and my food bowl for them is to high for them to get into so I had to cut a paper plate n half and use it till they get big enough ...just wondering I'd they will eat the plate

Yes.. Crickets can and will eat through some crazy stuff. Especially if there is food material on it. I have had crickets eat through hot glue on a screened portion of their bin to escape. The greater risk is if the do ingest any on the foam, then your Cham eats them. Poisoning may occur .
