Well on the safe plant list it states that the Croton has "possible dermatitis" while Schefflera actinophylla "has it". So I don't know if this is just an inconsistency as far as with labeling the plants as having the dermatitis or not. (do you know if mods, or people of higher knowledge of chams or plants, are the only people that get to write in safe plant list, or can just anybody write information in there? I'd feel much safer knowing that they would be the only ones writing in that section and that just anyone couldn't write in there). Becuase if what you said is true about it being a reaction as with people and posion oak, then it solely depends on the chameleon because some people are allergic to say posion ivy and break out after coming in contact, while others do not. But if your information isn't entirely true as far as dermatitis not being something that the plants carry and just being possible reaction, then it must be that the dermatitis is in fact carried in Schefflera actinophylla and possibly carried in the Croton. I just searched dermatitis and found that it is an irritation that causes itching to the skin, so I assumed that it was proven that the Schefflera contained it while it was uncertain if the Croton contained it or not.
