how long can a full grown yemen chameleon be without food? I was just wondering. Is it bad for them to be without food for 2 days or something?

he will be fine Mista went on a hunger strike for three weeks once, scared me but he was fine,he drank the whole time,so now i don't worry so long as he drinks:D

Ok cool thanks :) But when are they fully grown? mine is about 10 month and his bodys about 20cm and the tail is about 10cm. How big do they get? Hope he gets bigger because I have a really big cage, so he needs to grow some more :) haha

actually, even for a healthy eating cham, its probably good to occassionally go 2-4 days without any food, gives their digestion a chance to catch up and get rid of stuff that is harder to digest, (like exoskeletal debris, excess calcium etc) helps pevent impaction, calcium buildup, etc. it would take weeks for a healthy cham to starve to death, but on the other hand, not eating is not neccessarily the same as going without food. (going without food implies not being fed , not eating, implies possible problems. short term hunger strikes arent all that uncommon, but if there are periods of not eating, something else may be wrong and other indicatorrs should be looked at extra closely. jmo
