Won't eat thawed out pinkys

One, most chameleons won't eat anything dead, even if you wiggle it.

Two, pinkies (baby mice) and other vertebrates provide a very high amount of protein for a feeder. Generally, feeding pinkies is not recommended - too much protein in a chameleon's diet can cause health problems like damage to internal organs and gout. In nature, a chameleon may eat the occasional vertebrate, but they are primarily insectivores. There are lots of discussions on this here in the Forum.

Stick to a variety of insects and include some greens and small bits of fruit and veggies. Your Veiled will be much healthier for it.

Nothing personal, but I could never force myself to offer one of my chams a pinky.

Are you in a location where it is hard to get fresh food in the winter?
