Here is what @Daniel Martin wrote on his other thread....
Current Problem - my chameleon sleeps most of the day. It started about 4 days ago. He used to be so active. When I wake him he will open right eye but not left. Should I soke him at all?please help. I have to vields and they aren't like this at all. They follow the exact same schedual as he does. I think it might be illness. Should I get him to a vet. Please help me.thanks

My advice would be to put the uvb back at 5.0 and give the eyes a really good misting session to help flush them out.
That was the same suggestion I give him on his other thread, but it did not fix the problem from what causing it,it just a temporary fix,I guess that why he post this thread to ask for help n I agree with everyone on the uvb 5.0.

There are many possibilities could be kidneys could be stress could be an infection. They are nature's Rubik's Cube. I suggest take him to the vet if he doesn't seem to be getting better. Also did you change his tank around I find with mine when I do that they get a little irritated.

Are you sure he's actually been sleeping? Just because their eyes are closed doesn't mean they are actively sleeping. If he's actively sleeping I would say he's not getting enough sleep or has a serious illness. If he is just constantly having his eyes closed, it is likely that he has some sort of irritant, whether it's something in his eye, or his lighting, or is stressed, idk. What worries me is you don't seem to notice different signs at all very well and you supposedly have multiple chameleons. If it is an actual irritant in his eyes he needs to go to vet, because he can't flush it himself. Which means it's too deep and will very likely cause a very problematic infection soon.

Is this the same cham we talked about with his left eye closed on ur other thread?

It is now with both yes. His UVB is about 1 foot from the highest point. It must be something in his eye because when I soke him his eyes will stay open for a while. My other chameleons don't have this problem so I don't think it is the UVB causing it

Everyone. It must be infection or a irritant. He is a very calm chameleon. Haven't changed any aspects of the cage

I agree with u ,the sunken eye(judging from the photo) can be some type of the infection if the cham is hydrated ,when is ur vet appointment?
