Hi all, sorry its been so long since I have posted (medical stuff sucks).

Just wanted to announce that Karma my 10 - 12 month old Veiled just laid her first clutch. She had dug like three pilot holes and I was getting worried but hen this morning I checked her camera and saw she was much thinner so I pulled the box and discovered the eggs. I am so excited can't wait to try and breed her in a few months (hope the male is ready by then).

Just having all go well is great. if you are thinking of breeding her make sure she has time to recoup. She needs a bit of extra calcium, food & water for the next few days to a week.

Yeah she just ate like twice what I normally fed her (before she stepped back when carrying the eggs).

Hey congrats on the successful lay!!! 51 is kind of a high number. You could reduce the clutch size significantly by keeping the temps lower and keeping the food intake on the lower end of the spectrum. This will in turn prolong the life of your pet. Dont know what your currently running your temps at but just food for thought. Id be patient and give her more of a rest. Good luck with the breeding project.
