At what size or age is a good time to start to give your cham some different worms besides meal worms he likes them a lot hes about 4 months old and I only give him like 4 a week but im ready to start with a different food to just give as treats but im not sure if its safe hes a cricket fein so eating is not the prob I just want a stretch his diet.

You can get silkworms, superworms and hornworms all in smaller sizes that can be eaten by your chameleon.

Hornworms grow very rapidly so its hard to keep small ones. Silk worms you can slow down the feeding and keep them small for a few weeks. Great place for silkworms is http://coastalsilkworms.com/

I use waxworms as a treat every now and then. They're small so a baby should have np with them.

I would try to avoid wax worms, there probably the worst for them out of all the worms. Silkies are prob best bet nutritionally, I like supers they're very easy to keep alive for a long time. butterworms make a descent treat, but remember withmost of the worms feed sparingly. They can become addicted, and most of them aren't good for your Cham. Sandra has some good gutload recipes for most of them, and also has nutritional values in one of her blogs.
