i have my cage set up in my bedroom(less traffic) however i do watch tv for a bit before going to sleep. will this cause my ambiole panther any problems?
should i put a sheet over the cage until i turn it off?

I have chameleon(s) in my office room. At night, when I'm at the computer, my monitors shine directly at this particular one and keep her awake. To prevent that, I place a dark, soft, lightweight blanket on the spot she sleeps to prevent light hitting her eyes.

Note: From my observations; panther chameleons are very susceptible to light shining in their eyes at night where as veileds don't seem to wake up with dim room lighting.

Please DO NOT forget to take the towel or blanket off if you put it over the lights and have a timer that turns on your enclosures lights in the morning.

ive noticed this too.

hm...

Just to play a little devil's advocate... i watch movies in my room almost every night and have 3 chams sleeping in the same room they stay sound asleep all night. I just make sure the chams have several spots where there is a wall of foliage, they seem to feel more secure and will sleep all through the night whether my overhead lights are on or off. They know their bedtime!

i agree with rhettus, providing they feel safe in their enclosure (i also put a sheet over) they will be fine, i have my tv on and other things that could cause disturbance and it doesnt seem to bother my cham or my beardie.
