found these at one of those hardware/ home improvement type stores. curious if they would be safe as a sort of vine alternative. i personally dont see why not.

let me know what you think, this pack of 2 34 inch pieces was 5 dollars, all the packs were 5 dollars and they had a 1 pack in a longer length, like 54 inches and another pack that was something like 4 17 inch peices

i thought they would be handing for bridging spots together or something.

let me know what you think.

hmm.. i suppose they might be a little slippery but its got a foam coating on it so i thought it might work.

ill just put one in there and see if he uses it (unless someone tells me its a horrible idea)

it wont look very pritty. lol. just get some stick outside and wash/ bake them. i do that becuz i worry about mites but some people say its "overkill" whatever you want to do ^^!

I use to not bake outdoor stuff until I brought in a recluse spider that bit me 3 times 2 weeks ago. I think twice now what I bring in. That was thick bark though. Sticks you'll be fine

Oh my gosh! are you ok!? Those recluse bites are serious

i have a few sticks in there now that i just washed a few times and let sun dry. i got them from my own tree and so far havent really noticed anything.

they arent the most beautiful thing, thats for sure but they were pretty cheap and since they have a wire in them i can bend them in to position quick and get my hands out so i dont bug him too much. and the black isnt really all that distracting. maybe ill use them, maybe i wont.. taking them back isnt a big deal i just thought it might work.

now im debating taking the sticks back out to bake them (unless any potential damage is already done?)... he will probably be pretty pissed if i do. hhaha.

Mine arent as bad as some ive seen. Swelled up and deteriorated the center basically. It still hurts and looks like i was just bitten. I didnt know what bit me till I found it couple days later.

A friend of mine waited till 1/2 inch hole like a gunshot deteriorated on his gut to go to ER. They sucked all the venom out with a huge needle.. Sorry for the detail.

Should be fine mate! I used a 'soft plant twist tie' that looks to have the same consistency for my outdoor enclosure and it works great. If it's spongy then they'll grip no problem!

Two questions,
1. Does the material smell like chemicals? As in the chemicals they are made of.
2. How soft is the foam? Would it hold up to claws and the rare instance of biting or eating off of.
