Xanth dropping eggs????

My xanth has been gravid for 6 1/2 month and started dropping egg like things today. So far she has dropped 6 or 8 of them. I cut one open and they are like yolk/calcium things. Definitely not a baby inside. Are these slugs? Does this mean she will not be dropping any babies? :-[ Darn Give me some clues if you know anything about this please. This is my first experience with Jacksons.

Some are a little bigger, but this is on a leaf so it is a good picture.

Yes those a re slugs. sorry

What I am saying is your title says Xanth and the post states jackson. It makes it hard to know what cham we are talking about. i just assumed Jackson as I know you have raised tons of veileds like the rest of us.

xanth is a sub type of jackson isnt it??

Sorry to hear that. I seem to remember reading that sometimes they will pass some slugs to make room for developing young. I can't remember who wrote it though, sorry.

Thats what she is J. Xanth. I first thought she was a J. Jacksonii, but found out she was not. So, my little girl is a Xanth. Her BF died, bless his heart, but she is health, and I'm hoping she is just making room for babies. I look forward to her have some.

How long ago did her mate die? I ask, because I first met Monty's 'mum' in May last year and the male had died some time before that but I don't remember when. She went on to give birth to Monty's clutch at the beginning of September, so that was at least 4 months that she was gravid after he died.
